I was driving my mothers car (we’re from NJ) with her in the car with me, I don’t have an insurance policy and hers is a disabled persons insurance policy that only covers injury to the policy holder and anyone in the car of the policy holder. I have a valid drivers license and I am also disabled. I was going about 20-25 in traffic and the person in front of me stopped but I was following too close and couldn’t stop in time even after slamming on the breaks. I hit them in the back at about 20-25 or so maybe less since I was breaking when I hit the person. Anyway they get out of the car and are saying they are fine but then call the ambulance and claiming neck pains. I don’t have any money whatsoever and neither does my mother. All we have is the money we get from disability each month. The person I hit suffered some bumper and muffler damage in the back and in the front since she hit the person in front of her (close traffic situation) but the damage to the front of her car and the back of the 3rd persons car is VERY minor, scratches to the 3rd person and a small portion of bumper cracked off of the front of her car. The question is, if I have no money and no assets as well as no insurance, while the kind my mom has doesn’t cover anyone else, then what am I looking at? I don’t know what to do or what to expect. I don’t even know how i’d be able to pay a lawsuit claim if one is made. My car looks like it may be totaled. I also sustained no personal injury. I just don’t know what I am going to do or how I am going to pay a lawsuit with no job and no money. Since me and my mother are both disabled neither of us have a job. So I really am at a loss now as to what to do.

I was hit by a guy running a red light and wasn’t seriously injured but expect to be very sore for a couple of weeks. I am an actor and under contract to perform a live show, so taking time off is not an option- it would end my career in this town, so I have to work in pain. Also, I am unable to use painkillers or muscle relaxers due to a history with drug abuse, so the pain is full on. I don’t feel the need to contact an attorney, but feel I should be compensated somewhat for this guy’s negligence.

i was involved in accident yesterday, the result being injuries to myself. no other cars were involved. how do i go about making a claim for the injuries against my own insurance policy?
yes the police were involved, road was closed off, i skidded on diesel they think, plus road was wet and car started fish tailing(i think they call it)and ended up whacking every panel on the car lol gonna be off work for a few weeks and don’t get paid, that was my main reason for claim, and im fully comp with protected no claims

Recently I was involved in a solo auto accident (Toyota Acceleration) at my place of employment. I went to emergency and no injury was noted at the time. The car was totaled. I am a Senior (73),three weeks later I was transferred and started noticing foot and leg problems. I went to see my family Doctor and was diagnosed with Plantars Faciitis and placed on FMLA, My position required that I be on my feet 5-6 hours a day. I am not sure if I should file a claim for Workman’s comp, Disability or FMLA. Should I consult an Attorney? Personal Injury? Labor Law? How can I protect my rights?

I did not get the license number from the other party until later that day of the accident. I heard wrong and put down one wrong letter and that is the license plate number I put on the police report. I am asking the other party for the right license plate number and they are not responding. Is it my fault now that I could not get the right license plate number and can I still file a claim? Is the other party obligated to give the license plate number?

I was hit by a well-known national delivery company vehicle while riding my bicycle. Firms that "don’t get paid until I get paid" are not interested because severity and extent of injury was not bad enough to make alot of money. Driver of vehicle was in wrong. How do I find legal help without any money? I want my bike replaced and personal loss and damages. The company that handles claims for the insurance company of the delivery company just blows me off! Or maybe legal fees would cost more than any compensation i would win? Help please.

It happen friday it was nothing big we checked out both cars and I didn’t do any damage just his license plate and mine were a little damaged we exchanged information but didn’t file a report with police and insurance company now he just called and says his bumper is dented and will cost 490. What can i do???

"Jury trial and counterclaims. Landlord and Tenant agree not to use their right to a Trial by Jury in any action or proceeding brought by either, against the other, for any matter concerning this Lease or the Apartment. This does not include actions for personal injury or property damage. Tenant gives up any right to bring a counter claim or set-off in any action or proceeding by Landlord against Tenant on any matter directly or indirectly related to this Lease or Apartment."

Our basement has flooded 5 times now, despite that, in words, both the owner and management have stated that there has _never_ been water in the basement. (Now, the owner says that there has been water in heavy rain.) The water even reached a power strip, creating a fire hazard. Speaking of hazards, we noticed only after signing the lease that there was some exposed wires on our stove light/fan fixture–both my roommate and I got electrocuted while attempting to fix it. And despite that we’ve been asking for a mailbox key for 4 weeks, they have never delivered. We call them at least twice a week about it.

What are we supposed to do?
