We all know about Eminem’s beefs wit Everlast One of the rawest Beefs Eminem lead was that with previously House of Pain band member ‘Everlast’. A beef that resulted in both artists taking things arguably to a personal level which questions the limits of hip hop rivalry. In the eyes of Eminem the beef started when Everlast had begun throwing verbal shots at Mr Mathers in interviews and such due to him walking past Whitey in a lobby "like I ain’t noticed you, bitch I had a show to do". EverlastThe first shot was by Everlast while with Dialated Peoples in a track called ‘Ear Drums Pop’ in which the subliminal ‘I buck a .380 on those that act Shady’ was thrown. This was around the time of the Anger Management Tour and upon hearing of the track Eminem wrote what would become ‘I remember’. The track was on the B-side of the ‘Shit On You’ single, a parody of the musical orientation which Everlast had chosen to follow, pulling out all stops by referring to his heart problems, the failure of ‘House of Pain’ and ultimately putting the hatred down to being jealous of Slim. The beef caused chaos in St Andrews Hall, Detroit while Everlast was throwing a gig, he challenged the crowd by asking if there’s anyone from the Shady Camp wanting to battle, then insulting the rapper by calling him a midget and dissing his group D12. An audience member then leapt on stage and questioned the crowd over why there gonna let Everlast come to the D and diss Eminem? Next a fight broke out in which 3 people were sent to hospital and the show came to an end. Everlast also got a beating, though of a different kind in the Slim Shady Show in which he got jumped, though we can report Everlast never actually sustained any injuries. A released statement from Tommy Boy Records which Everlast was signed to claimed Eric had found the track ‘I remember’ amusing, though this was a clear tease while he was writing a come-back. The return to came in the form of ‘Whiteys Revenge’, a slow-tempo heavy, luring track from Everlast which equaled the complete lack of respect by suggesting that Eminem better ‘Go and check your kid for your DNA’ and putting forward a physical battle. Ever getting the last word in, Eminem with support from D12 responded with the track ‘Quitter’, a 2 part instrumental which premieres with a dark hounding beat which switches mid-way to 2pacs ‘Hit Em Up’.Within the track Eminem states "He can’t rap or sing but wants to do both" and D12 throw shots further degrading the character of Everlast. The track was followed up by ‘Searching for Bobby Fishcher’ from Everlast which went relatively unheard of and not soon after the beef fizzled out and Eminem prepared himself for jumping into the next beef he’d find himself in.

Eminem also had beef wit Insane Clown Posse A Rivalry with beginnings that harks back to 1995, a stage before Eminem was signed and trying to build a reputation for himself. While ICP were performing in Detroit, Eminem had set up a stall which held many Flyers he was handing out for a party he was to host and planned to perform in. Among a list of Rap groups/artists to appear, the flyer stated ‘ICP Might Appear .. Maybe’. This annoyed Violent J, a member of the Posse who came across the flyer and told Eminem to ‘fuck off’, clearly not wanting Marshall to use their name to get known.
This left a negative vibe between Eminem and ICP, with the situation only getting worse when Eminem insisted the group never turned up at his party after D12 had chased them out of a night club and shot at their van with paintball guns. This did happen but was but denied by the Insane Clown Posse on a track that was made a while later on a Howard Stern interview entitled ‘Nothing but a bitch thang’ which states that the ‘only club ever chased anybody out of was a gay bar’.
Eminem had previously verbally attacked with a few insults thrown on various tracks such as ‘Get You Mad’ and ‘Drastic Measures’ in which Eminem claims the group are over-rated, but surprisingly with no dedicated diss track. A humorous event at the ‘Up In Smoke Tour’ had Eminem come out on stage with a clown-faced, rather large mouthed inflated doll which orally pleasured him showing there was no hard feelings.ICP WhiteDuring this time Eminem had made an appearance on the Howard Stern radio show and answered ‘Who?’ when asked his thoughts on the Insane Clown Posse. An obvious diss suggesting ICP are unknown, which relatively was true. He also remembers them as dudes who got their asses beat ‘all the time, back in the day’.To be given an opportunity to respond, ICP were invited to the show the very next day and obviously angered by the insult they stated ‘We Don’t even know that bitch’ when referring to Eminem. They then released the track ‘Nothing but a bitch thang’ as said earlier, and another with a group ICP has signed by the name of Twiztid and collectively called ‘Slim Anus’. The American media for a long time now has just blatantly labeled any international they see soft and one thing is that the fans now days will believe them without even looking at the facts for themselves.

Lets look at the facts…..

If Dirk is so soft, how come in 2008 when he had a hyper extended ankle that was damaged badly he came back early to drag his team into the playoffs. When Dirk got hurt that year he was suppose to be out longer and he came back early because his team was in danger of not making the playoffs with the Warriors and Nuggets creeping behind them. He came back early and still brought his team to the playoffs and averaged 26.8ppg, 12rpg, and 4apg on one foot against the hornets.

* Dirk has only missed more games than Pierce and Miller for active players and has even missed less time than Kobe Bryant and only missed around 30 something games for his entire career. That shows his durability and toughness right there.

* Kobe has had his pinky and back hyped up this year to be made worse than what it was and got credit. Well anyone that follows Dallas knows Nowitzki had Carl’s teeth jammed in his elbow causing a laceration and missed only missed 1 game because of it. He also jammed his finger caught in Grants shoe and had an elbow injury from a Kenyon Martin foul and yet he still finds a way to stay on the floor. He has the mentality of the player in the 80s to just lace it up no matter how bad you’re hurt.

Obviously Dirk isn’t soft pain threshold wise so how about mental toughness so I can clear up all categories.

Yeah sure 2007 wasn’t his best playoff series against the Warriors but his dad was going through major lung surgery during that series due to a life of smoking and Dirk had to call during halftime of every single game in that series to make sure he was ok. If your dad is going to possibly die there is no way you can perform at the MVP level he did during that regular season and he still managed to averaged 20 and 10 in that series.

Last, last year against the Nuggets he had an off the court issue with his ex-fiancee claiming to have had his child and she was being locked up and in jail and she was a fraud and was wanted which was why she was under multiple aliases and Dirk still told his team he wouldn’t let them down and averaged 34.4ppg, 12rpg, 4apg, 50%fg, 39%3pt, 90%ft in the Nuggets series with that going on in his personal life. Yet last time Kobe had the rape issue (which btw isn’t as bad as the father issue Dirk had or this) still performed worse than Dirk’s warriors series and obviously the Nuggets series because he was a beast, yet people don’t call him soft and Nowitzki is? Double standards?

Pain threshold wise and mental wise Dirk is probably the toughest player pound for pound. The media did a great job painting an image in gullible fans heads. And if he gets that rep for being a finesse player then that is just silly. The man isn’t soft.
