I was recently injured in a car accident that wasn’t my fault. I got a bit of whiplash in my neck and I fractured my forearm. I was wondering whether I should accept insurance payments or go through my own personal lawyer or hire a personal injury lawyer in Scotland for the compensation claim. I’m really confused on what I should do because I don’t want to argue my case and be denied sufficient compensation or settle for less.
Missouri personal injury lawyer Stephen Schultz discusses why you should never sign a medical record release authorization. Insurance claims adjusters will want to dig up all medical records and treatment history from prior to an accident. In doing so, they are invading your right of privacy and exposing records that are protected. Contact St. Louis personal injury lawyer Stephen Schultz the minute you are presented with a medical record release authorization. www.schultzlegalgroup.com Distributed by Tubemogul.
Many of us have at some time or another suffered an injury through no fault of our own. But whilst it may have led to time off work or a recurring back problem, a new study shows the majority of us would never dream of making a personal injury claim, whether through embarrassment or a fear of the cost However if an injury is a result of a third party’s negligence then it’s perfectly reasonable for you to look into the process of making a claim. So if you are unsure of the circumstances in which you could make a claim or are looking for advice on where to turn for help, then watch our web TV show where Muiris Lyons and David Bott from the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) give the most up to date legal information on when it’s fair to claim, how to do so and who to trust. Muiris Lyons and David Bott from APIL join us live online on Tuesday 23rd November at 15:00 to discuss how to get a fair deal when it comes to making a personal injury claim. An injury compensation claim is a common procedure for those who have been unfortunate to suffer the consequences of a personal injury and know only too well the life-altering effects it can have. Things that used to be simple tasks are now major obstacles, the simple pleasures of life seem to be slipping away and everyday is a struggle just to get through. Work is no longer an option, along with all the activities you used to enjoy. If this sounds like the situation you or a loved one is currently in, then consider an injury claim, it could make all the difference in the world. You’re Not Alone In The Struggle Every year, thousands of people struggle to cope with serious personal injury, with many of them not realising the compensation they deserve. Once injured, many people tend to hide away and refuse to acknowledge the damage that has been inflicted on their body. Not coming to terms with an injury is one of the most dangerous things a person can do. It can lead to increased mental stress that can have a big impact on family and friends, and possibly slow down the recovery and rehabilitation process. It also prevents the injured party from receiving the deserved compensation to help with the financial difficulties that often strike in these difficult times. Claim Compensation Online Now! I had a minor car accident 5 years ago and now have a debt collection agency claiming I owe the MIB £11,500 for a personal injury claim I knew nothing about. I paid £300 for repairs to the car at the time to save my no claims but have NO insurance documents from that time. I suspect that the other party (who I nudged in stationary traffic at about 2 mph) waited until their car had been fixed and then started with the "oh my neck hurts" and put in a claim. I have no problem with that BUT I have a problem with not being informed at the time.
Extra – I have no idea who my insurance company was 5 years ago as I was prone to swapping and changing to get the best deals. The other party put in a compensation claim after I had their car fixed (which I knew nothing about) and because I hadn’t given them my insurance details (because I was paying to preserve my NCD – didn’t realise what a big mistake this would turn out to be) the claim went through as me being uninsured and was paid out by the MIB who 5 years later want their money back – £5,500 compensation to the other party and £6000 legal costs. I’m currently working through a mountain of old paperwork but not hopefull…….
Plus I was never informed about the compensation claim or given the oppertunity to provide my insurance details or give my side of the story.
