Basically, I was in a car accident a few days ago and my CV joints have began clicking badly, I know that I need this replaced and my first instinct is that the accident broke them, since it started right after the accident. I was stopped at a light with my wheels turned a bit since I was going to make a turn, and a guy lost control and plowed into me head on. If I have an identity card and the person who knock your car door and wheel side impact during the accident but gave me his a car number plate and a car model ask me to claim from his car insurance after the car accident and promise to meet me at puchong police station for insurance settlement issues, but never turned up? Do you think he has and insurance? Why did he not turn up if he says he will settle using his car insurance and i let him go because he said he has few ringgits to use only but how can he drive on the road if he just has few ringgits, in case of emergency during driving. Now m’sian police will have to investigate is he a malaysian and is he driving a stolen car or a car that cannot be declared after accident for whatever reasons whether he has a driving license or not because he never turn up in the police station for insurance. I was in a car accident over 2 years ago, not my fault and the other driver was uninsured. The MIB were dealing with my whiplash personal injury claim but have now handed it over to the other drivers previous insurance company (due to legalities with insurance certificates etc.). Anyway, my solicitor has given Tesco insurance co. 21 days to respond to my offer to settle of £12,000. But he warned me that they are part of the RBS group, who usually take ages to settle and will more than likely dispute the amount and want to take it to court. My solicitor is going to issue court proceedings anyway if we do not get a response from Tesco within the next 21 days.
My question is – has anyone taken a personal injury claim through court and can you tell me how long it all takes to get settled?
Or has anyone been in a similar situation and can share their experiences?
I’m really hoping that because this case has been complex and run on for a long time, and is not a strightforward insurance claim, that Tesco will just agree and settle it for a maximum amount – but I’m probably being too optimistic!!
He got my name and information and everything, and he said he was going to get it checked out tomorrow. He said something about insurance claim and such, and I dont really know all that mumbo jumbo about insurance etc.
It was just a little bump, and i think some paint came off it… but how much do you think it would cost me to compensate for this? I’m really scare.. as I hardly have any money to pay for school, let alone a big car accident claim or something.

My neighour backed into my car when it was parked on the street. The accident has been reported to the police. My car has two fairly large dents on the driver side. It’s in driving condition but I’m not sure how safe it is. I have no idea about car repairs so I asked the police officer how much he thought it woud cost? He said 00-4000. I talked to other people and they agreed with this but I haven’t taken it to a car mechanic yet. I used the Canadian Black Book Web Tool and found the value of the vehicle was between 0 – 00. My vehicle is probably on the low end of that scale. Since the repairs are more than the value of the car my understanding is that I would probably only get 0. I’m thinking it’s not worth my time to file an insurance claim under these circumstances. I’m considering asking my neighbour for a reasonable amount within those limits and settling it that way. What are your thoughts on this? Has anybody had a similar experience and how did it work out?
