My insurance company is offering me 0 for a recent accident I got into, should I take it I just have a slight pain in my neck otherwise I’m fine and they helped me pay off my car though. My friend told me to go through a personal injury lawyer because it was a work accident but is it worth the effort and money, and I’m not really that hurt. I’m kind of scared of using lawyers.

I received the documents to start my claim today after the car accident ive reading the terms and conditions and one of my responsibilities (to keep getting free legal advice from my union) is that i must not settle my claim directly with my opponent, now does this mean just the PI claim or does that also mean the Insurance claim on my car? As it was a car hitting me in the rear the other party took blame and i am currently sorting it all out myself and not thru my insurance. The other persons insurance company have paid out for me to have a hire car while mine is being looked at, Astra Estate cdti 2011 car 6 months old not bad considering mine was a 1998 fiesta, didnt have one available that was similar to mine…..try the scrappies lol!

I was in a traffic accident four months. In the incident, I went into the side of a van and came off my motorcycle. The driver had stopped abruptly, indicated and turned into a side road without looking in his mirrors. Causing the accident, the driver failed to stop. Luckily, another motorcyclist who saw me come off my bike, gave chase and caught him and asked him to come back to the scene. On his return to scene, he failed to accept liability on the spot and thus insurance was involved to cover the costs of my damaged bike.
A few weeks ago, my insurance company notified me that they were going to try to settle the case for a small amount of money. This was after the police report stating that they were asking the van driver to attend a road safety course and would prosecute if he failed to do so. I then received a letter yesterday stating that my insurance company were now going to start court proceedings and asked me what dates I couldn’t attend.
After all this, I’m now worried about the case as personally, I’d rather not go to court. What are the chances that this case could go all the way to court? My claim is for only £1300 (as personal injury), will they go to all the hassle of going to court for such a small fee? s it just a tactic? What are my chances for the case in terms of all the information that I’ve given?
Thanks

I was involved in a car accident a few weeks ago as a passenger. I had to take time off work as I had hurt my back and shoulder. I’m now having to pay for physio sessions in an aid to help my shoulder. Does anyone know who I contact about making a passenger claim? I’ve googled the net looking for info but it keeps throwing up all these no win no fee websites. Do I contact their insurance company or contact a solicitor?

I am not a driver, so perhaps someone who is could help out here; points to the best answerer.
My friend was involved in an RTA a few weeks back: somebody pulled out in front of him, without indicating, in order to turn down a sliproad (which has a no-entry sign), causing him to decelerate from the road’s cruising speed (50mph) to zero within a short distance (5-10 metres).
Both cars were written off, but no one sustained serious injury; the Police are prosecuting neither party.
My friend has a comprehensive insurance policy, but was informed by his insurers today that they will not pay out for his car’s replacement (valued at around £2-3k) as they claim the tyres were bald. (My friend has ABS, which to my limited understanding would cause this to happen, especially given the stopping conditions).
My friend is now most distraught that this will ultimately render his policy ENTIRELY null and void- thus making him liable for third-party injury claims (if any). Is this likely?
Any help will be most appreciated.
Cheers so far, but I should clarify that my friend is not concerned about his OWN injury claim: his prime concern is whether his insurance company would cover any THIRD-PARTY injury claims (if any are made). Thanks

I have had to have the vet out today for my 20 year old thoroughbred gelding who took 3 massive bites of feed this morning; and raised his head in the air causing himself to get feed stuck in his throat. He had several injections and in the end had to be tubed. However i was wondering whether choke caused by trapping of feed is classed as an illness or an injury. If it is classed as an injury then i will be able to claim for the cost of the veterinary treatment on my insurance but if it is classed as an injury i would not be able to claim. This is because my horses insurance policy only covers him for vets fees incurred by an injury. Would the insurance company class choke as an injury or an illness and would i be able to make a claim?

I was hit from behind and he dented my boot and split my bumper. I hit my fore head on the steering wheel and the seat belt locked causing a red mark on my chest. Hes accepted liability but my claim for personal damages he says, is impossible as he just bumped my car at 4mph It now seems its my word against his, but i went to the docs the same day and they noted my bruised head and said i had whiplash to my neck. I also took pictures of my injuries . Is the insurance company just trying it on or will i have to go to court like they say in their letter. Im third party fire and theft so im claiming off of his insurance

I was injured in a car accident as a passenger, my friends insurance company are saying that I’m not covered for the injury and I must make a private claim, even though the accident was not my friends fault, we were hit from behind.
Surely this claim should be handled by my friends insurance company?
All they did was send me details of a no win no fee company and I’m not happy with this arrangement.
Can anyone help me please?

My husband was involved in a motorcycle accident, when he was knocked off by a disqualified driver, lucky enough he was arrested and awaits court action. And also lucky that the vehicle was insured (dont ask me how).
Anyways, my husband has third party insurance, but when telling the insurance company (ebike) they did not have no interest and passed it on to Angel Assistance, who were even more a waste of time.
We told Angel assistance and ebike that we had our own solicitor dealing with personal injuries, as my husband substained a dislocated and fractured wrist and minor cuts and bruises. But they would not deal with the issue of the motorcycle, claiming this off road, and claiming money back from the motorcycle. But nope was not interested.
So at the moment, we have not got a clue what is going on…….
Has anyone had the same experience?
Whats the best way of dealing with this?
