Question about car insurance claim due to accident?

I need some help. I am hoping someone can help me.

On valentines day this year I was involved in a small fender bender accident due to Icy slope road.

I was driving down a hill and someone who was infront of me had slipped on ice and went up a curb in the middle of the street. I saw the incident when i was half way down the hill. I was slowly driving down when all of a sudden i hit the same ice patch..I was almost clear of the guy who went up the berm. However just as i was getting behind him,
he put his car in reverse and started backing offf the hill. I couldn’t do nothing because he backed off and my front corner caught his rear corner. "A cop was behind me before we even got to the hill road."

We pulled over and the cop then told us that it was my fault.
I asked the cop why because he backed off the curb and chances are he didn’t look to see if anyone else was coming down the road.

The guy told the cop that the reverse lights are automatically on no matter what.." Thats b.s..This guy is about 65" I think he panic and didn’t pay attention.

Anyways,
The guy called his insurance company and filed a claim.
Only thing is I was just let go of a job due to budget cuts and raising 2 babies on my own. I couldn’t afford the insurance. I didn’t drive my vehicle because of it until that day when I despritely needed to get to the store. I usually drive a family members car that allows people over 25 to drive.

The guy called me and said you have no insurance. My insurance company wants me to sumbit this claim and they said you will lose your license and you will get suspended. he said..He said i know you have two babies and the damage isn’t anything but a small bump.
How about we work something out… I replied okay.

He said you give me 250 cash and we will be good.
This was back in febuary. Its not august. The guy has called me one time in june to say he wanted the money soon. I said let me know and i’ll be happy to give it to you.. Well I haven’t heard from him. Then today he said lets make plans for tomorrow. then he calls and cancelled saying i’ll call you next month..

I know i was wrong to drive without. It was either pay it or buy needed items for my kids. I offered to pay this guy but he will never show. I want this over with… He keeps waiting and its been almost a half year already.. Is there a time line to collect on this situation?

I know this guy is the one at fault. I told him that but he keeps saying that on a honda accord 2000 the clear rear lights are always on..
its not true…

If this guy doesn’t pick up this money i am going to tell him to forget it.
I believe there is a timeline… can someone confirm this…??? He did call insurance company the next day but didn’t go through with the claim. he said he would handle it.. now he keeps stretching the timeline to meet…

Someone help me.. Serious help only.
Thanks.

My previous employer owes me money…can I sue him?

I was a case manager at a personal injury law firm in Manhattan. I was told in my interview that I would get a percentage of the cases that I settled (before trial). The percentage ranged from 1-5% depending on how much work I did on the case. I settled 1.3 million dollars and never saw a dime. He refused to pay me. He would not even see me to discuss the situation. I have since moved on to another job. Can I take legal action towards him? Will small claims court see my case? Can anything be done in this situation? (It is important to note that NOTHING was ever put in writting, it was all communicated verbally. )

Thank you.

Was rear ended bigtime 7 mnths ago. Very badly whiplashed{wore neckbrace for 5 months}sprained right hand, left arm and left back shoulder has not healed yet, live with daily pain in arm/shoulder and neck and left side of back. Soft tissue injuries. Presently being paid loss wages{80 percent}. Still in physio. Still unable to go back to the job i was in. I do have a lawyer. What would my lawyer be seeking roughly in dollar amount? What would be fair? I was making 500.00 a week at my job that i will probably be unable to go back to, and my daily/normal life has been an upheavel battle! How long will my settlement take? Is there a place in Canada to whom would buy my settlement/claim?

I recently got into a car crash, in which i pulled across the opposite lane in which to park in a space. Out of nowhere a car came belting my way and so i tried to turn to miss it but she hit my car (it is a write off) and she also hit 2 stationary vehincles. She is saying she wasnt speeding but she was. There ar no independant witnesses to this accident. I was taken into hospital with a suspected broken wrist and concussion which i am told will last about a week so i will be off work for at least 2 weeks. I passed the breathalizer no problem whereas she barely passed it. I only get paid for the hours i work so i have lost alot of money from being off.

The police have informed me that as there are no independant witnesses then it will be the insurance companies job to battle it out. The police made me feel as if it was all my fault, whereas I know for sure that she was not there before I began to pull in. I had a massive knock to the head so i dont remember anything after that. But she refused any hospital care. Or any treatment.

What will the insurance companies make of this?
If they do decide that I am the one to blame, then where do I stand with personal Claims?

I am fully comp and and have 5 years no claims.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks.
Would i still be able to claim personal Injury?

Basically I was turning left at a 4-way stop and the girl coming towards me was going straight. There was a truck in front of her, I flashed my high beams to let the truck go (we had both arrived at the intersection at the same time), then I turned left. This girl ran the stop sign and hit the right side of my car. I KNOW she never stopped because she knocked my left rear tire off the rim and her car was considered totaled. Keep in mind this happened only about 25 ft from her stop line, in the middle of the intersection. Not enough running room to cause that amount of damage, had she been stopped (imo). Also she had 3 kids in the car under the age of 3 and NONE were in car seats, to give you an idea of what kind of person I’m dealing with. She’s claiming personal injury, physical therapy, damage to the car, blabla (she’s suing me for just under 00.) My insurance company hired me a lawyer and I’ve talked to him once for a few minutes. Should I be worried about this crazy whack-job? Am I going to have to come up with the $ or is that what insurance is for? I’m a truck driver, I haul fuel and everything under the sun, I have an absolutely flawless driving record and it pisses me off that this girl is trying to tarnish that record to make a few extra bucks. She’s basically looking for a handout. I’m losing sleep over this thing and would like to know if I shouldn’t worry about it or whatever…Thanks to anyone for any help!
Oh yeah sorry, I wasn’t found responsible….meaning my insurance didn’t go up, I didn’t have to pay any deductible, I got a free rental car, etc…

how can i lie on my cv about my previous employer?

i hurt my back at work 8 months ago, and when i wanted to go back to work my employer fired me! so i am pursuing a personal injury claim for the slipped disc i suffered in my back. i want to work but now im stuck in a position were if i give my last employer as a reference or previous employment he will definatly give me a bad refernce because i have put a claim in. how can i get around this? i was there for 9 years…..
The reason why he would give me a bad reference is because he was running his buisness not up to health and saftey standards shall we say. so i have opened up a big can of worms for him. he is going to be very very bitter with me , as i am with him for firing me for not being able to do my previous job….

My husband had to leave his job in NJ and relocate the whole family down to FL as his mother is very sick. He’d worked for this company for 12 years and has paid into NJ for 28 years never once claiming unemployment needless to say he has been denied benefit’s the explanation being "although reason’s are valid personal reason’s are not good cause to quit your job" YOUR DENIED. And to add insult to injury they paid two weeks benefit’s now they want that back. We have filed an appeal however are at our it’s end as now the State of NJ has put us in even more debt. Does any one have any advice?
