My insurance company is offering me 0 for a recent accident I got into, should I take it I just have a slight pain in my neck otherwise I’m fine and they helped me pay off my car though. My friend told me to go through a personal injury lawyer because it was a work accident but is it worth the effort and money, and I’m not really that hurt. I’m kind of scared of using lawyers.

I’ve been asked to sign a schedule of damages by my solicitor for an injury that occured at work which meant I was signed off work for a few months. Is this the final amount I can expect or just the money I have lost through being signed off work and travel etc? They have already admitted liability and had medical report done.I have no idea about u.k law and the office is close for x-mas.
thanx
Sorry it isnt clear in my main question, but I was driving with a passenger, my friend, when I oversteered at a roundabout, loosing control causing a spin which ended when the rear nearside alloy wheel hit the roundabout kerb. He stayed with me that night and didn’t notify me of ANY whiplash or neck pain at all. He stayed AGAIN the next night and I dropped him home early on Sunday, again with no mention of any pain.. (the spin happened on Friday)… then today I get a text from his mom sayng he’s gonna claim my insuance for a whiplash injury!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF, I strongly believe his mother to have put the notion in his head to claim my insurance to make a quick buck. almost FACT.
In conjunction with my other question re whiplash, I also ask a different question. To summarize the story, I was driving and lost control of the car on a roundabout causing the rear alloy wheel to hit th kerb, no other damage was done to the car, and no bodywork damage was done, however the passenger door airbag did deploy. Nevertheless, After 3 days of not mentioning anything, i’v now been informed by his mother that he is going to claim my insurance for a whiplash injury.
This is obviously a notion that has been forced upon him to do so by his mother, to make some money out of it… I’ve been his friend for 18 years !! (all my life) but his mom is poor (no offence / no joke) and he is unemployed also, at 18. Needless to say, I ask how easy or how successful could he be? He has access to google (and im not joking here, but- ) what if he just researched everything to do with whiplash, and the injuries and symptoms, etc and just say that to th doctor or whatever.. ??? or if he just "headbutted thin air" all night, tonight in order to get some kind of minor muscle pull in his neck? I know im going abit over the top, but I want to know every scenario possible and will not underestimate this person.
I will do anything, even deny the accident if need be, as there was no witnesses and it’s his word against mine.
I broke my wrist last year whilst at work from slipping on a wet floor and am now a little skint so thought it might be a good idea to try and claim some money back from my old company!
I have found, what sounds like, a great injury lawyer company, they are called Accident-helpline. They said that I literally will not have to pay any costs at all and will keep 100% of my compensation.
Here’s the deal, I was assaulted this morning with 1 witness who saw the hit, I imagine the man will be charged for assault on a minor. I didn’t get any bruising in my stomach or damage whatsoever. Could I still claim money in a separate court case without injuries?
had a crash in december 2008 which wasnt my fault i suffered servere injuries to my neck and back and after many months of been out of work i eventually felt able to return on light duties (i work in retail) its still an ongoing battle trying to get things sorted because my solister never applied to personal injuries board(piab) until 12months after the accident(jan 2010) as he was trying to leave them out of it and found than he was getting no joy from the insurance company on offers etc (they kept saying claim was not on there system)i had my assessment in aug this year and have my report back and now they are saying sooner rather than later it will be settled but thing is my solister is right lazy ive to do all the contacting i had to ring piab who had to contact him to sort out an assessment with a specialist(as i had seen his specialist, had an MRI and had my own GP Notes he told me i didnt need 1 theyd go on them) because i was going travellin for a few months ive since returned (family reasons) im just sick of constant lies telling me ill have money and those deadlines have cum and gone i dunno should i report him or just ask for a reduction in fees when my money does come true i know all this takes time but he delayed it an extra 12months by not replying straight away after the accident and i should have been seen by PIAB doctur when i was less moblie and how long is sooner rather than later lol
I really need some advice, my parents are going through a traumatic time at the moment. My dad had an accident and is in hospital with a serious head injury which has caused swelling to the brain. It could be months before he recovers. He is self employed and my Mom doesn’t work.
Bills are still coming out but obviously because of these terrible circumstances there is no money going in. I know my dad will be ok it’s just a long recovery process but I’m worried about how my Mom is going to get by in the meantime
Can my Mom claim anything while my Dad is in hospital?
