Last week a lunatic smashed into my rental car after running a red light at an intersection in the USA. The other driver was at fault, which I can demonstrate via photographs. I was fully insured with the by the rental company and I am not intending on claiming for my injuries. The idiot who hit me was not insured. The rental company says I should be covered for the damage to the car, so do I need to inform my UK insurer? Will my premium go up?

my husband was in an accident with a drunk driver and 2 other vehicles a couple of nights ago. his neck was injured. he was slammed 3 times. he went to the er that night. tomorrow he is going to dr for follow up. (neck is worse by the way). my question is this- the drunk drivers ins accepted liability and is going to cover our van, rental car, as far as med bills they said we can either get a settlement from them directly from injury claim or we can go through our insurance (med pay?) and then our insurance can get their money back from the other company. any insurance agents or someone who has been through this that has advice? thanks in advance.

I am taking the other party involved in a car accident to small claims court. He committed a hit and run and i want to collect money for damages not regarding my vehicle. Reimbusrment for the extended rental car and time loss. i was unable to attend my college orientation and welcome day because i had to stay back home and take care of the car issue. i also missed work and the accident has simply been a burden on my life right now. I cant even drive past the itersection where it happened anymore. It is insane.

I was in a car accident with a man who tried to turn from the center lane to get into a shopping plaza. His insurance denied the claim and felt that I was 70% at fault of the accident even though I wasn’t doing anything else but driving straight (no turning, etc. on my part). The police report states that this guy was at fault and they still denied my claim. My insurance company took a month to respond to the claim of the accident. I did the right thing by letting them know that I was in an accident. A month later they are not giving me the total amount for the repairs because the can’t justify it. The didn’t come and look at the car until after the car had been fixed. Not only that but I took pictures of the car and I had to furnish the pictures for them to make an estimate. I am extremely frustrated I paid 0 for a car rental for a week and had to bring the rental car back because I couldn’t afford it. I have been driving my dad’s car for the last 2 weeks. Someone Help!
I did try to go through the other persons insurance company, but since a claim was made also to my insurance company it shouldn’t have taken a month to investigate the situation. As soon as it was made known that the car was in the accident they should have sent someone to check out the car. It doesn’t make since that it takes a month to even have someone from my own insurance contact me about a claim I put in. It is unthinkable to think that because I was denied by the other insurance that my insurance still wouldn’t take any action at all. I did everything right. This is my first car accident and I was instructed by my insurance to try to go through the other guys insurance when I reported the accident.

I have a personal injury lawsuit going on in regards to a vehicle accident. The company that hit into my vehicle is paying for all of the vehicle repairs and the rental car. Within a few conversations, the company’s claims adjuster told me he was sick and tired of dealing with me, that my claim was the most asinine case he had ever dealt with and also that it was nothing but a pain in his ass and he couldn’t wait for it to be all over with. Not to mention how rude and ignorant he was to me during this enitre time…

My trailblazer was totaled by a drunk driver on 12/19/08. Two of my daughters were in the car and their claim is being handled by a personal injury attorney. My problem is that I am upside down and will still owe 15k, once the insurance and i settle up. I also have out of pocket expenses for a rental car and missed work for the wife and I. I want to know if it is feasible for me to sue the driver for the amount of difference between the insurance and the remainder.

somebody hit my car and did some damage to my car,i had some repair and some rental car bills my insurance company wanted me to go to certain body shop which i did not like so i went to my known body shop well the repair bills they paid only cover some of total bills which i do not mind but i had two rental bills they only paid one one 1 other $ 777even though my coverage is for 30 days they did not pay $ 777 bill . my insurance sued the other car insurance company and arbitrator judge in my favor the other insurance repaid to my insurance but i am still out $ 777 now none of insurance co. answer my phones for the rental bill for $ 777 in state of new york what is my option to cover rental , small claims say i can not sue insurance co can complain to NY insurance commissioner or what can i do. I was involved in a car accident where I was rear-ended and my car is not operable. I have to work and have no money for a rental car. I have no credit card or anyone who can loan me money. The insurance company of the person who hit me says I have to pay and they will repay me when claim is processed.

What kind of rental car can I get in a car accident? Someone ran into my and it is completely their fault according to police report. I am filing a claim and I need to get a rental while my car is in the shop. Is there a limit to what kind of rental car I can get? Such as a $ limit or a car comparable to the one I have involved in the accident? And should I have to pay first and have insruance pay me back or should I somehow foward the bills to their insurance? Thanks for any help!
